The GiLE Foundation is proud to partner with the Creative Youth Academy Hungary to empower and support students and young adults through Erasmus+ projects.
Together, we are providing young people with Erasmus-funded opportunities that support personal growth and skills development. Those selected will have the chance to travel and participate in workshops, training courses, and volunteering programs.

Kalabaka is a town and the seat of the Municipality of Meteora. It has stunning monasteries that are located near the town, in the Trikala regional unit, which is part of Thessaly in Greece.
The main activities are to:
1. Equip youngsters with knowledge to change practices in their daily life and adopt ecological principles and behaviors, as well as with skills to participate actively in society favoring environmental issues.
2. Highlight what can be done at an individual level to prevent pollution and contamination as well as key provide the necessary competences that limit harmful human activities.
3. Support a democratically oriented Europe. It has an inclusive approach to a diverse range of participants breaking down prejudices and stereotypes. It provides equal opportunities and access, inclusion, diversity and fairness across all its actions and it promotes the social and intercultural competences and the ideas of intercultural dialogue and solidarity.
For the project, nature sustainability and intercultural dialogue are both necessary for the health of the ecosystem. The same as far the understanding of the role of technology and digital technology to all the mentioned above, principally to the support of social ideas and changes for a healthy ecosystem and a democratic society in a modern Europe, more mobile, more green, more inclusive.

Yes. Creative Youth Academy Hungary is a non-profit organisation with a core mission to provide a platform where young people can explore and express their creativity, whether it be in the arts, technology, or other innovative fields.
Your accommodation and 3 meals per day are pre-booked by us. Normally, you will have meal options (vegan, vegetarian, halal, etc.) to choose from. Please inform us about it one month before the program starts.
Health and travel insurance are the responsibility of each participant that is you have to arrange it yourself. Normally, EU citizens have European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which is sufficient for them.
Participants have to arrive on the arrival day and depart on the departure day. No excuses (exam, doctor, etc.) for these.
You can arrive anytime on the arrival day and depart anytime on the departure day. Usual check-in starts at 14:00 on the arrival day and checkout is at 12:00 on the departure day.
You will get dinner on the arrival day if you arrive by dinner time and breakfast on the departure day if you depart after breakfast time.
You are allowed to stay two days before the project or after the project at your own expense and still get the travel reimbursed. We will not cover any expenses for the extra days you may stay.
In the Erasmus program, participants have to buy their own travel (flights/train/bus) tickets. After the program, it gets reimbursed up to the travel budget mentioned in the post.
The standard travel budget is if traveling by plane. Green travel budget is if travelling by bus or train (or carpooling if short distance). (not every program will have a green travel budget)
If you go one way by plane and the other way by bus/train then it will count under the standard budget. No mixing of standard and green travel budget.

This track provides aspiring diplomats and those interested in international public servants with in-depth knowledge and practical skills essential for a successful career in international relations. Participants will engage in workshops on diplomatic protocol, cultural diplomacy, and science diplomacy, alongside visits to embassies and relevant international organisations. These activities offer hands-on experience and insights into diplomatic practices and international development, helping participants develop the necessary skills and network to excel within international organisations.
Aspiring diplomats – International relations enthusiasts interested in careers in diplomacy, international development, and global cooperation.
International public servants – Students and young professionals interested in pursuing a career at an international organisation like the United Nations, UNESCO, UNHCR, or UNICEF, for example, without necessarily wanting to be a diplomat (i.e. remaining independent of any single nation’s government). Interests may include advancing global peace, international development, and human rights.

This track equips aspiring public servants and NGO leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary for impactful community work. Participants will attend workshops on introduction to nonprofit management and civic engagement, effective altruism, social innovation, design thinking, community engagement, and fundraising. Additionally, visits to local NGOs and municipalities will provide practical insights into the functioning and challenges of civic organizations. This track aims to foster effective leadership and innovative thinking in addressing social issues.
(Aspiring) public servants – Students and young professionals who work, or aspire to work, in government departments or local municipalities in their country, and who seek to enhance their skills, network, effectiveness in public administration and ability to improve their communities.
(Aspiring) non-profit founders – Passionate individuals interested in creating and leading non-profit organisations focused on addressing social and environmental issues.
Young changemakers and community organisers – Young leaders dedicated to mobilising communities and fostering grassroots movements to drive social change. This includes environmental advocates committed to promoting sustainable practices and policies to combat environmental issues.
