Mentorship programs are like superchargers for success.
We connect experienced mentors with young adults who are driven to develop themselves and pursue a successful and meaningful life.
A mentor’s advice is like a treasure map – it helps young adults find their way through life’s twists and turns.
This guidance doesn’t just stop with them; it spreads like wildfire, sparking new ideas and creating a chain reaction of inspiration.
Mentees gain valuable skills and knowledge from experienced mentors, helping them enhance their personal and professional capabilities.
Mentors provide guidance, advice, and emotional support, helping mentees navigate challenges and make informed decisions.
Mentoring can provide insights into career paths, industry trends, and strategies for advancement, boosting mentees' career prospects.
Mentoring programs often offer opportunities to connect with professionals, peers, and experts, expanding mentees' professional networks.
This programme is designed to complement and support the challenging PhD experience for early career researchers. It is a transformative program that offers a guiding hand and a nurturing space for PhD students to help them navigate the complexities of academia, develop essential skills (research-related and soft skills related), and to support mentees to confidently advance towards their research career goals. The mentors in this programme do not replace the role of PhD supervisors.
This pilot mentoring program for early career researchers is a partnership between the GiLE Foundation the Association of Hungarian PhD and DLA Candidates (DOSZ) Ambassadors.
The Association of Hungarian PhD and DLA Candidates (Doktoranduszok Országos Szövetsége, DOSZ) focuses primarily on doctoral candidates, advocating their needs. The organisation has developed over the last three decades and has been constantly improved. All Hungarian university doctoral candidate associations are members of the organisation and delegate to its general assembly. The third pillar of the organisation, established only two years ago, is the Ambassador System, which aims to support a significant number of doctoral students from abroad, mainly from developing countries.

During active semesters, we provide embassy visits, lectures with experts, soft skill courses and social events for our members.
